I ran across this Karen Walker Resort 2014 collection and I must say that is it the perfect example of the famous phrase “less is more”. This resort collection completely embodies the essence of a hot summer day overlooking beautiful scenery. The tomboyish trends, draping of fabric at the shoulder point, pleating, and patterns are right on point for your vacation to The Hamptons.

I ran across this London based fashion label by the name of Lazy Oaf. It is absolutely the epitome of garments I am interested in. The playful and colorful animated pattern work, combined with the skateboarder inspiration with a hint of pop culture. Enjoy a look at the Lazy Oaf Fall 2013 collection, launching through the brand’s web shop on July 25.

The change from Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent has been a journey for me because being such a faithful follower of such a notable brand, dropping “Yves” was like dropping the Z off of Jay-Z and leaving us simple and honestly empty. However, I ran across new Fall/Winter 2014 Editorial photographs featuring Tadanobu Asano. They are quite interesting and eye catching simply because they have completely changed the h a u t e c o u t u r e background of YSL into a more edgy yet grungy look, which I can say I can dig. Heidi Slimane, the newest creative director for Saint Laurent is directing the path of this brand into a strong support base of edgier fashion influencers, while simultaneously supporting his own contemporary vision for the company.
Tadanobu is known for his roles as Dragon Eye Morrison in Electric Dragon 80.000 V, Kakihara in Ichi the Killer, Mamoru Arita in Bright Future, Hattori Genosuke in Zatoichi, Kenji in Last Life in the Universe, Aman in Survive Style 5+, Ayano in The Taste of Tea, Temudjin in Mongol, and Hogun in the film Thor, based on the Marvel Comics character.

Okay, I smashed your Corolla…”
Mr. Kanye West is continually building his empire not only within the music realm but within the fashion industry as well. Outside of his Kanye West collections that he has presented at NYFW, he has taken on a new endeavor with French ready-to-wear brand A.P.C. The minimalistic collection designed by Kanye West is composed of two pairs of Japanese denim, two basic long sleeve hoodies, three t-shirts, and the signature short-sleeve hoody Kanye was spotted in. The capsule collection is available now on A.P.C. online store.

The styling of this editorial is one that completely touches my soul. The deep and dark depiction of the mindless story line. You can’t really tell what is going on but it leaves the mind to wonder and create your own story. That is my goal most of the time when I create my own editorials, it makes viewers more attached to the photography and the creative of the art.
