TheBlaqueBook Brand Extension: Javan Bowden Photography

I would like to proudly introduce a new brand extension of the prestigious brand; TheBlaqueBook.com

JavanBowden.com

Javan states on his new website that, “At a very young age, I noticed that I find beauty in the aesthetics of simply anything. With this finding, I immersed myself in countless hobbies that allowed me to creatively express my thoughts and emotions. Whether it was by performing music, sketching visual art, or taking engaging photos, I kept my creative eye at its highest quality. The tedious regiment of attempting to make art perfect, flawless, and effortless has driven me to this point in life. This is my visual story.”  What more can be said to completely explain one’s rationale behind complete creativity.

In his first photo story “A Search for Something New” he explains that; “Lately , I’ve been searching for that certain imaginative and innovative niche’ that keeps my attention for more than a minimal amount of time. I seem to jump from form to form in hopes of finding a place that feels true to who I am and where I want to end up in the near future. Well, now my feet are firmly planted. Welcome to my site; a place where lovers of art, imagery, and style can dwell. Today, I used one of my good friends, Gina, as my subject for the first site entry. She beautifully exhibits the concept of seeking for your own specific place, when nothing is there. Enjoy.” I can attest by being on set at this photo story that by looking at our surroundings and how the photography came back from editing, I must say that Javan truly has an eye for photography and some the greatest potential to saturated not the only the fashion industry but the photography arena at large. From my statement, one could clearly tell that I am completely proud and supportive.

Below is “A Search for Something New

I digress in the most notable manner.

Once again, www.JavanBowden.com is released.

Book him.

[B.] x [Olivia Anthony]

The weekend started relatively slow and perfect, I was off three days this week for various reasons. I enjoyed these days to the fullest, hitting the city streets to enjoy things that the city offer such as a diner on the east side that is famous for its french toast and the famous meatpacking district filled with high end designers and brands.

… i have had one of the best weekends, I have had in a while here. One of my closet friends Jessica “OLIVIA” Anthony came up from the south to see me in New York City. She is also a Wardrobe Stylist with her brand by the name of “Olivia Anthony”She is honestly like my little sister and I had the pleasant surprise of my close friend Danielle driving down from Connecticut as well.  So I showed her around the city, we partied, we stormed the city streets, and I was so sad when she left but she had duties to tend too in the south.

Until next time.

A Day in The Life of …

I decided to give the viewers into my life on a daily basis, instead of the prepared post that I usually do. My day consists of so much, one would be surprised that I could foster the energy to keep up with everything but that’s what the city requires! & that’s what I will give. So its [ n o t h i n g ] .

a friend’s birthday dinner.

[ 230 5th Ave RoofTop ].

The University of Alabama New York City Alumni Chapter held a networking event for all the interns and all other unconnected Alumni in the city. I enjoyed it for a happy hour event. Food, fun, and a few drinks always closes a good day in the best way.

[ V i b e Magazine Listening Party ]

…the same day/evening as the networking happy hour event. I decided to tip into the Vibe Listening Party in the Meatpacking District of NYC. It was a pretty crowd full of fashion hipsters, bloggers, and artist. Plus, I chatted up Solange Knowles. I didnt get a photo unfortunately, it was so much going on but I had to speak with her being that she is a KNOWLES

[ a regular day in the C i t y ] .

…a regular cool outfit in the city heat. The heat index is something that i definitely have to get use too because the southern heat doesn’t beam off of cement pathways.

B. | TheBlaqueBook Culture

B.

It has been proclaimed that I shall be called “B.” from now on, not because of being a Beyonce’ fan or the simple fact that my campus alias is
RandyB.“. I feel that there is no need for the extra, B. says nothing and so much at the time, like I feel my daily fashion and demeanor does.

The array of photos above speaks about my lifestyle and how I conduct myself. The essentials of studying difficult coursework of academia, consuming fine cuisine, and presenting yourself in a professional yet fashionable manner; I make my mark in my surroundings.

TheBlaqueBook, is just not a styling council brand but it is an embodiment of luxurious scenery, and artistry that ultimately has gained respect within the southeastern region and beyond. TheBlaqueBook staff believes and thoroughly supports Javan and myself vision for the future.

I just wanted to give a little insight on how I view the world, how intricately involved I am in campus relations, and just show my photos for the viewers to peruse.

His Burrows*

Who says there aren’t successful, well established African American designers?

Meet Mr. Stephen Burrows, the first African American fashion designer to reach international acclaim and recognition. His work has been featured throughout various publications as Vogue magazine and has styled
such celebrities as Diana Ross, Cher, and Barbara Streisand. Burrows, influenced by whats going on around him; music, dance, and the body has produced revolutionary clothes that are soft, comfortable, and chic. His work has also appeared on the same runway as Christian Dior, Hubert De Givenchy, and Yves Saint Laurent.
These are my favorite pieces from his Spring/Summer 2011 collection*
