Education in The Art of Branding

Branding – the promotion of a particular product or company by means of advertising and distinctive design.

TheBlaqueBook Mission Statement: www.TheBlaqueBook.com; an embodiment of fashion, style, and luxurious scenery. Focusing on showcasing styling techniques, trend forecasting, and influencing our viewers into a lifestyle of innovative style, creative expression, and limitless ambition.

By this definition, Javan and I have built a brand from the ground up in a hopeless demographic in what we are aspiring to achieve; in the areas of fashion, photography, and so much more.

With this said, we want to keep expanding the brand and how we inspire others to achieve whatever they want in life. So I would like to formally announce TheBlaqueBook‘s intern.

Klah.

We decided that it was time to actually implement TheBlaqueBook Internship Program that we had been planning since about a year ago to ultimately help the brand but more importantly give the opportunity to interested individuals to learn so much about the brand and even more importantly, learn the abilities that God has gifted them.

When asked Why do you want to intern for TheBlaqueBook? Klah wrote “I want to intern for TheBlaquebook because I’ve loved fashion since I was a kid. I love to try different ideas when it come’s to style. I believe this would be a great opportunity to enhance my fashion sense while also learning more about the industry…”

When asked to choose your favorite TheBlaquebook post and describe it in 140 characters or less. Klah replied Favorite Post : Its Ok, to be who you are* I love this post because it’s simple yet speaks volume. I’m not afraid to be who I am because I’ve grown to accept and love me. The world will love me too.

You can call this Klah‘s slight introduction to TheBlaqueBook. He has been working for the brand already. Atlanta he is our face in your area. Embrace it. You’ll thank us later.

Now enjoy this spread of his personal style.

Feel free to contact us at info@theblaquebook.com for everything BlaqueBook.

Klah would love to hear from you.

D E F Y to be different.

Three days ago, a DC native brand called DEFY had it’s showcase of new looks for the Chinatown district. I had the opportunity of being invited through a friend who’s an intern for the company/brand.  I must say that the look and feel of the showcase made me appreciate coming…

Pussycat, Pussycat

When I ran across this, I must say that it gave me chills. The use of sequins with the “over the top” jewelry. It all flows…not to mention the kittens that are used fully throughout the spread. Cats are my cup of tea, but they fit the mold here.

“Kittens courtesy of Mirren Stewart. Cara Delevingne wears ‘Vanitas’ choker necklace and earrings, ‘Snow White’ ring, ‘Emploi Du Temple’ cuff, expandable necklace (worn as cuff) and wing, all by Delfina Delettrez. Sequinned trouser-suit by Meadham Kirchhoff, embroidered shoes by Prada” - http://showstudio.com/

Americana Manhasset SS 12′

Simon Nessman by Laspata DeCaro for Americana Manhasset Spring/Summer 2012.

The use of color, and clashing of patterns in this editorial is the epitome of American prestige within the fashion arena. It takes you through a plethora of looks from day time, swimwear, evening wear, etc etc etc. I must say that I will be using this as inspiration for a few looks here in NYC. Yeah… the most, I know.
